Abstract:The restorer lines of japonica three -line hybrid rice newly bred in northeast China were used as materials to study their flowering habits. The results showed that the flowering time of 6 restorer lines began earlier at 9∶00 ~9∶30.The flowering peak of C746,C258 and Jijing85 was earlier at about 11 ∶00 with the higher flowering rate before noon as 63.9% ~77.2%.The flowering peak of the other four restorer lines was later at about 12∶00 with the lower flowering rate as 43.4% ~62.1%.The pollen quantity was related with gene types, and there were significant differences between the restorer lines. The pollen quantity of C135 was 396 granules per anther over that of R3 with the variation amplitude as 32.3%.
