Screening and Preliminary Identification for a Strain of Nitrogen -Fixing Bacterium Producing PHB

Abstract：Eight nitrogen -fixing bacteria were isolated from the activated sludge from sewage farm of Kingenta by enriching culture and isolating in Ashby medium.Three strains producing PHB were obtained by Suda black staining.Strain N1 was regarded as the best one by the PHB diameter,content of PHB account for cell dry weight and the colony growth rate.Strain N1 was preliminary identified as Azotobacter chroococcum.
