Abstract：Suitable density is very important for maize varieties to achieve high and stable yield .At the density of 67 500 plants per hectare , Luoyu 336 had the highest yield .Along with the increase of density , the ear length became short , the grain number per row and 100-grain weight decreased , but the bald tip length-ened gradually;the ear diameter and row number per ear had little change;the time tasseling , silking and ma-ture gradually postponed , and the growth period prolonged;the plant height and ear height increased , while the stem diameter decreased , and the lodging resistance ability decreased .
