Comparison of Seed Germination Characteristics between Two Trichosanthes kirilowii Lines

Abstract：The KXY-001 and KXY-005 lines of Trichosanthes kirilowii mainly popularized in produc-tion were used to study the effects of temperature and storage time of fruits on seed germination characteristics, amylase and antioxidase activities ( SOD, POD and CAT) .The results showed that 25℃was the optimal seed germination temperature for both KXY-001 and KXY-005.If the seeds would be used for sowing, they should be collected in 0~10 and 10~20 days after harvest for KXY-001 and KXY-005 respectively.
