Impacts of Straw and Degradable Film Mulching on Quality and Yield of Garlic

Abstract：With the detoxified Cangshan Pukesuan as material, the impacts of various mulches on growth, quality and yield of garlic were studied using no mulching cultivation as control.Straw, degradable film and ordinary film were used as the mulches in this experiment.The results showed that the plant height, dry matter weight, soluble sugar, soluble protein and allicin under the four treatments were all arranged in the order of ordinary film mulching >degradable film mulching >straw mulching >no mulching.From the comprehensive effects, degradable film could not only promote the garlic growth, but also accelerate the clear production, so it could be popularized in agricultural production.
