Effects of Shading Treatment on Growth and Quality Traits of Welsh Onion

Abstract：Taking the Welsh onion variety Liaoxuan 13-1 as material, the effects of 6 different shading treatments were studied.The results showed that after shading treatment under the condition of high tempera-ture in summer, the plant height, pseudostem length, single plant weight, moisture content and soluble pro-tein content were all higher than those of the control, but the pyruvate, cellulose and soluble sugar contents were lower than those of the control.The yield of S2T2 treatment was the highest as 4 678 kg per 666.7m2 , which increased by 18.7%compared to the control.
