Abstract:The “3414” fertilizer field experiment was conducted to investigate the application effect of N, P, K fertilizers on summer foxtail millet Jigu 16 and to optimize the fertilization parameters. The results showed that all fertilization treatments significantly increased the grain yield, and the highest reached up to 32.8%.There were obvious interactions among N, P, K fertilizer and balanced fertilization could significantly improve foxtail millet yield and fertilizer use efficiency. The influence of N,P,K fertilizer on foxtail millet yield was in the order of N>K>P.The partial factor productivity of N, P, K fertilizer gradually decreased with the increase of fertilizer application levels, and the average partial factor productivity was in the order of K>P>N.Through establishing three-factor fertilization model, the recommended optimum fertilizing amounts of N, P2 O5 and K2 O were 68.53, 160.62, 8.96 kg/hm2 respectively. It was concluded that the production of Jigu16 should pay attention to P fertilizer with appropriate application of N and K fertilizer.
