Study on Hairy Root Induction of Peanut with Different Agrobacterium rhizogenes

Abstract：Five kinds of Agrobacterium rhizogenes were used to infect peanut explants and the root induc-tion rates were contrasted to find the suitable explants, peanut varieties and A.rhizogenes for peanut transfor-mation.The results showed that A.rhizogenes 94022 had higher root induction rate than the others.The hairy roots induced from cotyledon were easy to cultivate in the successive transfer culture with higher survival rate and good growth condition.With cultured cotyledon as explants, Huayu 20 had higher root induction rate than other peanut varieties.
