Effects of Spent Mushroom Compost and Sphagnum Compound Substrate on Growth, Yield and Quality of Strawberry
Abstract:With spent mushroom compost as check ,the effects of compound substrates with spent mush-room compost and sphagnum at different proportions on growth , yield and quality of strawberry were studied with the variety Fengxiang as material .The results showed that the physicochemical properties of the com-pound substrates such as EC value , pH value , bulk density , specific density and porosity were at the ideal range for strawberry growth .Compared with CK , the compound substrates could improve the stem diameter , leaf area, fruit yield, and the contents of reduced sugar , vitamin C and soluble protein of strawberry .The sub-strate with the proportion of spent mushroom compost and sphagnum as 15∶1 was the best one , which could significantly increase the strawberry growth , yield and quality .
