Screening and Identification of Antagonistic Bacterial Strains against Tobacco Ralstonia solanacearum

Abstract：Four antagonistic bacterial strains showing significant inhibitory activity to tobacco Ralstonia solanacearum were obtained by agar cup -plate method .The four antagonistic bacterial strains were designated as C2c, C1a, Tsb and Ch1b, and they produced inhibition zones with diameter of 51.50, 25.95, 24.40 mm and 20.05 mm respectively.C2c, C1a and Tsb were identified as Paenibacillus polymyxa through the analysis of 16S rDNA sequence, and Ch1b was Pantoea agglomerans.Moreover, the four strains also showed better in-hibitory activity to pathogenic fungi including Alternaria alternate, Thielaviopsis basicola, Fusarium oxysporum and Trichothecium roseum.
