Abstract:Glutamate dehydrogenase ( GDH ) is an enzyme catalyzing a reversible reaction of compoun-ding L-glutamate.Assimilation of ammonia via GDH is more energy -efficient than that via glutamate syn-thase .GDH1 gene was the dominant form in most of examined tissues , perhaps suggesting its greater functional significance than other GDH genes. In this study, the genomic sequence on chromosome A , B and D of a no-vel gene, designated TaGDH1, was isolated from the hexaploid wheat ( Triticum aestivum L.) genome data-bases .An InDel marker was designed based on the insert /deletion divergence in the 1 900~1 983 bp position of TaGDH1a gene sequence, and was located on the chromosome 5A in wheat.
