Isolation and Expression of ARGOSs Genes in Radish

Abstract：The RsARGOS1 and RsARGOS2 genes were isolated from radish ( Raphanus sativus) by RT-PCR method, and their expression patterns were further analyzed .The results showed that RsARGOS1 gene en-coded a polypeptide of 133 amino acids, and RsARGOS2 gene encoded a polypeptide of 109 amino acids.The RT-PCR analysis results showed that RsARGOS1 expressed in all organs of radish , and the expression level was the highest in tuberous root and the lowest in leaves .RsARGOS2 had the highest expression level in buds , but the lowest in rachis .The expression of RsARGOS1 and RsARGOS2 genes was regulated by plant hormones . The expression of RsARGOS1 increased after spraying 6-BA, and reached the highest level after 6 hours of spraying.RsARGOS2 also could be induced by NAA and 6 -BA treatment, and NAA treatment had more effect than 6-BA treatment.This study would provide reference for understanding the function of RsARGOSs in regulating growth and development of radish .
