Design and Realization of Automatic Measuring System of Leaf Spot Number and Area

Abstract：It was realized to automatically measure the plant leaf spot number and area by digital image processing technique using calibration per unit area on the development platform of VS .Net2005 in Windows XP SP3 operating environment .Firstly , the living leaf with disease spots and calibration object per unit area was photographed using high resolution digital camera , and the pixel number of calibration object was counted according to a preset position .Secondly ,the leaf spot area blocks were obtained using the HSV color compo-nent filtering and median filtering;the disease spot number and its total pixels were counted .Finally, the total leaf spot area could be calculated automatically through conversion based on the former statistics .Better effect was obtained .
