Effects of Different Treatments on Germination of Dateplum Persimmon Seeds

Abstract：The Dateplum Persimmon seeds were soaked with different temperatures of distilled water , different concentrations of KMnO 4 and concentrated sulfuric acid for different time .The results showed that the germination potential and germination rate of Dateplum Persimmon seeds were significantly different among dif -ferent treatments.Soaked with 85℃distilled water for 48 hours, 98%concentrated sulfuric acid for 1 minute, 0.1% KMnO4 for 24 hours, the germination potential and germination rate were 66.67% and 75.33%, 58.00%and 76.67%, 21.33% and 30.00% respectively.Comprehensively comparing the 3 treatments, soaked with 85℃distilled water for 48 hours had the best effect .
