Abstract：The cultivar , total yield and cultivated area of soybean from 1975 to 2010 were investigated and analyzed in 29 counties , belonging to 6 cities of Shandong coastal regions .The results showed that the soybean yield per unit significantly increased during this time , while the total yield and cultivated area de-creased firstly , then increased before a consistent decrease with high fluctuation between different years and a downtrend on the whole .Based on the analysis of soybean cultivars , the number of high-yield cultivar ( total yield≥10 4 t) was small , but the proportion in total yield was high , which played an important role in promo-ting the development of soybean industry in Shandong Province and enriching soybean germplasm resources in our country .
