Establishment and Application of Methods for Authenticity Identification of Mutton with Microsatellite Molecular Markers

Abstract：A pair of specific microsatellite molecular markers was screened according to the rule of spe -cies specificity to establish a PCR method for identifying mutton authenticity .With this method , 220~247 bp target fragment could be amplified from 11 sheep or goat breeds ,while nothing could be amplified from pigs , cattle, chickens, ducks and rabbits .The detecting sensitivity of this method could reach 10 -10 .With this method to identify carcass meats of livestock and poultry from slaughtering factories , supermarkets and ped-lars’ markets, the detectable rate was 100%.
