Abstract:Using garlic variety Jinsuan 3 as material, the effects of foliar spraying different concentrations of sodium selenite and sodium sulfate on the photosynthetic characteristics, yield and quality of garlic (Allium sativum L.)were studied. The results indicated that spraying 200 mg/L sodium sulfate and 20~30 mg/L so-dium selenite could significantly increase the content of photosynthetic pigment, improve photosynthetic param-eter and photosynthetic property in garlic leaves. And it had the optimum effects on nutrient accumulation and quality improving of bulbs and bolts.Spraying 100 mg/L sodium sulfate and 20 mg/L sodium selenite, the yield and exterior qualities of bulbs and bolts reached the maximum. The fresh weight and transverse diameter of bulb, the fresh weight and length of bolt increased by 37.3%,30.3%,47.0% and 45.7% respectively than those of control.
