Abstract：For network intrusion detection problem, we ifrst consider to reducing the dimension using the method of projection pursuit on the original data, then to the data of dimensionality reduction we utilized the method of support vector machine with a penalty function for classiifcation. By using the model, we calculate the data sets of KDD99 and test the data sets, the result is better.
