Abstract：This paper introduces the conceptions and applications of gIs and TgIs,discusses the applications prospects of gIs in tourism development and the necessity to establish tourism geography information system of guangxi Beibu gulf , presents a logical frame of tourism geography information system, and then further elaborates the design of the system and the implement of its function. The future prospects of TgIs are also foreseen in this paper.
