Design of Constant Temperature and Pressure Appliance Used in Antarctic Low Temperature and Pressure Environment

Abstract：The Antarctic Dome A area is under low temperature and pressure where the Chinese Antarctic observatory works. The mass storage system used to store the astronomical observation data can’t work normally in the bad environment. In order to provide a stable working environment for the mass storage system, a constant temperature and pressure appliance which adapts to the low temperature and pressure environment was designed .The appliance includes the heat preservation and hermetic sealing box with special structure , the temperature and pressure control system which was designed according to the special structure. Redundancy control scheme for hardware and software was used to enhance the reliability of the appliance and to ensure that the appliance can work long in the unattended mode. Finally, the appliance can protect the mass storage system from the interference of environmental factors.
