A Improved AODV Routing Algorithm Based on the Energy Saving Objective

Abstract：Mobile Ad Hoc network is widely used in all kinds of harsh environment, at the beginning of design, the commonly used AODV protocols didn’t consider the energy problems of a node. When in use, could lead to a sharp decline in a key node energy and make the link failure. In view of this situation, the IAODV protocol, new designed , add a alternate path in the source node, When periodic broadcasting Hello message, each node to report their energy state, before forwarding the route request message, Considering the node’s residual energy and current load , improve the route request forwarding mechanism, By these measures, strengthen the network balance and coordination, the single node energy has been saved. In the NS2 simulation platform, the simulation shows that the IAODV protocol’s average end-to-end delay is shorter, the lost packet rate is lower.
