Abstract:In this paper, Total Station is used to measure the suspension point’s coordinate of transmission line in a non-contact way. Visual C++ 6.0 work out the stress, sag and wire length of transmission line based on three-dimensional coordinate, and then OpenGL completes the three-dimensional shape layout simulation of transmission line. The technology of coordinate transformation, depth buffer and double buffering provided by OpenGL makes it available to observe simulation effect from omni direction and multi-vision in smooth pictures. It can truly show the transmission line’ design effect , avoid the design errors committed on the actual site and reduce the construction cost;the system also replace the human to work out the sag and wire length of corresponding span promptly, thus improve the working efficiency and overcome artificial error.
