Abstract：Abdominal diagnosis serves as one of the crucial methods for diagnosing diseases in traditional Chinese medicine and holds significant guiding value for clinical syndrome differentiation and prescription selection.Professor ZHAO Jie places significant emphasis on the application of abdominal diagnosis in clinical practice.Grounded in the theory of reinforcing yang with classical prescriptions,he adheres to the syndrome differentiation principle of"deficiency related to Taiyin and excess related to Yangming".When performing abdominal diagnosis,he first discriminates between positive and negative reactions,and then selects the corresponding prescriptions and herbs for the treatment of diseases by integrating the symptomatic manifes-tations in different parts of the abdomen,frequently achieving excellent results.One proven case is attached.
