Abstract:The development of brain imaging technology has provided technical support for revealing the relationship between meridians and the brain. The images of acupuncture acupoints in the brain are pooled into a brain network, and there exists a close correlation between the meridian-acupoint network and the functional connectivity network of the brain regions.Based on imaging techniques such as magnetic resonance imaging(including structural magnetic resonance imaging, functional magnetic resonance imaging, diffusion magnetic resonance imaging, magnetic resonance perfusion imaging, and magnetic resonance spectroscopy),computed tomography,near-infrared brain functional imaging, electroencephalogram, and magnetoencephalogram, this article explores the research progress of acu-puncture treatment for stroke, providing a scientific explanation for the theory of meridians entering the brain, and also offering a reference for acupuncture clinical practice. There are 48 references.
