Research Progress on the Anti-Tumor Mechanism of Halofuginone

Abstract：The incidence and mortality rates of tumors are increasing year by year,seriously endangering human health.The advantages of traditional Chinese medicine in treating tumors are prominent,especially in recent years,research on anti-tumor traditional Chinese medicines has attracted much attention.Halofuginone extracted from the traditional Chinese medicine Changshan(Dichroae Radix)has been proven to have a significant anti-tumor effect.This article reviews the role and mechanism of Halofuginone in treating tumors from aspects such as inhibiting tumor cell proliferation,inducing tumor cell apoptosis,inhibiting tumor angiogenesis,inhibiting tumor migration and invasion,enhancing tumor sensitivity to chemoradiotherapy,and regulating autophagy of tumor cells,with the prospect of providing theoretical and evidential basis for later clinical medication.There are 51 references.
