Abstract:This article summarizes Professor PENG Peichu's experience in treating advanced prostate cancer by integrating cold and heat therapies.Professor PENG believes that the pathogenesis of advanced prostate cancer is characterized by asthenia in origin and asthenia in superficiality, especially with deficiency of both yin and yang and insufficiency of the spleen and kidneys as the root causes, and cold and dampness stagnation and accumulation of cancer toxins as the symptoms. The mixed pathogenesis of deficiency and excess results in the syndrome characteristics of cold and heat.In treatment, the combination of cold and heat therapies should be emphasized. For the pathogenesis of yin deficiency and accumulation of cancer toxins, cold medicinals should be heavily used to nourish yin, clear heat and detoxify cancer toxins. For the pathogenesis of insufficiency of the spleen and kidney and cold-dampness stagnation, hot medicinals should be heavily used to warm and tonify the spleen and kidney and disperse cold accumulation. In clinical practice, the formulation of prescriptions emphasizes the integration of cold and hot medicinals, which can stimulate the mutual stimulation of their properties, thereby achieving the goal of balancing yin and yang and harmonizing cold and heat. One test case is attached.
