Abstract:Intrahepatic cholestasis is a common liver system disease. The imbalance of the bile acid-intestinal microbiota axis is closely related to the occurrence and development of intrahepatic cholestasis."Earth congestion and wood stagnation"is a pathological process in which the spleen earth is obstructed and counterattacks the liver wood, leading to the stagnation of liver wood.It plays a significant role in the pathogenesis of intrahepatic cholestasis.Intestinal microecological disorder and bile acid metabolism disorder are important manifestations of"earth congestion and wood stagnation".This article explores the relationship among"earth congestion and wood stagnation",bile acid-intestinal microbiota axis imbalance, and intrahepatic cholestasis, and proposes that the bile acid-intestinal microbiota axis can be intervened based on the"earth congestion and wood stagnation"theory to prevent and treat intrahepatic cholestasis, which provides a new idea for the integrated prevention and treatment of intrahepatic cholestasis with traditional Chinese and Western medicine.
