Discussion on the Differentiation and Treatment of Pulmonary Interstitial Fibrosis Based on YE Tianshi's Theory of "Turbid Yin Congealing and Causing Coagulation"

Abstract：Pulmonary interstitial fibrosis is a refractory respiratory disease,which belongs to the category of"lung flacuity","lung impediment"and"asthmatic syndrome"in traditional Chinese medicine."Turbid yin congealing and causing coagulation"is derived from YE Tianshi's Medical Records for Clinical Guidance·Fecal Retention,referring to the process in which pathological products such as blood stasis and phlegm turbidity are generated,accumulated and consolidated.Guided by the theory of"turbid yin congealing and causing coagulation",this paper proposes that"turbid yin congealing and causing coagulation"is the core pathogenesis of pulmonary interstitial fibrosis,and the key pathological factors are the retention of deficiency qi,the coagulation of phlegm and turbidity,and the obstruction of the meridians by blood stasis and toxins.Based on the pathogenesis of"turbid yin congealing and causing coagulation",the syndrome differentiation and treatment of pulmonary interstitial fibrosis are explored:harmonizing yin and yang,tonifying qi and relieving turbidity,warming yang and promoting diuresis,eliminating phlegm and turbidity,activating blood circulation and detoxifying,removing blood stasis and expelling turbidity.
