Abstract：When rheumatic heart disease progresses to the stage of heart failure,Western medical treatment methods are limited and the difficulty is relatively high.Professor WENG Weiliang believes that heart failure caused by rheumatic heart disease falls within the category of"heart edema"diseases in traditional Chinese medicine.The core pathogenesis is qi(yang)deficiency,blood stasis and water retention.In clinical treatment,he emphasizes the flexible combination and application of various methods such as tonifying qi and promoting blood circulation,warming yang and promoting blood circulation,promoting diuresis and activating blood,nourishing yin and activating blood,clearing heat and activating blood,and dispelling wind and activating blood,with a clear and focused approach.This can not only alleviate clinical symptoms but also enhance cardiac function to a certain extent,thereby improving the quality of life.This article analyzes the detailed treatment process of Professor WENG's test cases of heart failure due to rheumatic heart disease,summarizes Professor WENG's diagnostic and therapeutic ideas and medication characteristics for this disease,in order to provide new ideas for the clinical treatment.
