LÜ Ying's Experience in Treating Childhood with Autism Based on Theory of"Roper Fire Encouraging Qi and Excessive Fire Consuming Qi"

Abstract：Childhood autism is a neurodevelopmental disorder.Professor LÜ Ying believes that the overall pathogenesis of childhood autism is the insufficiency of primordial qi of the Kan hexagram in congenital endowment.In clinical practice,combining the theory of"roper fire encouraging qi and excessive fire consuming qi"in the treatment of childhood autism has achieved significant therapeutic effects.The proposal of"roper fire"reflects the vigorous vitality of human beings.The abundant primordial qi of the Shaoyin Kan hexagram,the gentle and orderly ascending of the wind-wood qi of Jueyin,and the normal operation of the Shaoyang main pivot all belong to the manifes-tations of"roper fire encouraging qi".Due to the physiological characteristics of Yangming,it is prone to Yangming dysfunction,which in turn leads to the internal generation of heat and dryness pathogenic factors.Clinically,the manifestation of"excessive fire consuming qi"often occurs.Therefore,in clinical practice,adhering to the concept of"treating diseases from the root cause",childhood autism is treated through methods such as applying earth to suppress fire,guiding fire back to its origin,restoring the gentle and orderly ascending of the wind-wood qi of Jueyin,enriching earth to support wood,and closing Yangming,with a prospect of providing new ideas for the clinical treatment of childhood autism.One test case is attached.
