National Master of Traditional Chinese Medicine CHAO Enxiang's Experience in Treating Post-infection Cough

Abstract：Post-infection cough is characterized by persistent coughing that does not heal and seriously affects the patient's work and life.Professor CHAO Enxiang believes that post-infection cough is a type of wind-induced cough,and the key cause of the disease lies in the wind pathogen clinging to the lungs.Professor CHAO emphasizes the treatment of post-infection cough based on the theory of"treatment from the wind",and at the same time,he attaches great importance to the flexible use of insect-based medicinals.By accurately grasping the property,taste and meridian tropism of wind medicinals,he applies one medicinal for multiple purposes,making flexible use of the couplet medicinals,which not only eliminates the pathogenic factors but also strengthensd the body's resistance.He also pays attention to the simultaneous treatment of the lungs and kidneys,and achieves remarkable clinical results.This article analyzes the medication characteristics of Professor CHAO in treating post-infection cough,summarizes his treatment experience,and provides a reference for the clinical treatment of post-infection cough.
