Thread-Embedding at Umbilical Eight Acupoints in Treatment of Obesity from Perspective Vital Activity and Qi Configuration

Abstract：Obesity,as a metabolic disorder characterized by an regulating imbalance of the trinity of"form-vital energy-spirit",stems from the core pathogenesis of the"dysfunction of the vital activity,disorder of the qi configuration",which leads to the dysfunction of the innate primordial qi and the acquired spleen-stomach transportation-transformation.This article proposes to treat obesity from multiple dimensions in a coordinated manner under the guidance of the"vital activity and qi configuration"theory,treating obesity with thread-embedding at umbilical eight acupoints,following the principle of"regulating the spirit-harmonizing qi-balancing the body",and implementing the methods of"calming the spirit to control appetite,regulating qi to dissolve phlegm and blood stasis,and harmonizing the body to eliminate ointment and fat".This multidimensional synergistic therapy systematically elucidates the scientific connotation the scientific connotation of the"vital activity and qi configuration"theory in the treatment of obesity.
