Abstract:Sudden deafness is an acute ear disease characterized by sudden hearing loss without obvious causes.Currently, there are no reliable clinical reports on its long-term treatment.Floating needle is mainly based on the"theory of affected muscles"and"reperfusion activity"to improve the qi and blood in the affected area for the diagnosis and treatment of diseases. It is mainly used to treat pain related diseases, but is seldom applied in diseases of five orifices on the head.In this paper, one verified case of sudden deafness treated with floating needle is introduced,in order to provide some references for clinical treatment of sudden deafness.
