CHEN Zetao's Treatment of Senile Hypostatic Fneumonia from Dissipating Fire Stagnation

Abstract：As a common respiratory complication,hypostatic pneumonia often occurs in elderly patients who stay in bed for a long time.At present,western medicine mainly focuses on symptomatic treatment,and there are lots of adverse reactions.Starting from"Dissipating fire stagnation"in Inner Canon of Yellow Emperor,Professor CHEN Zetao believes that fire stagnation is the core pathogenesis of senile hypostatic pneumonia.In clinical diagnosis,he applies the method of clearing and tonifying deficiency,flexibly uses the connotation of"dissipating"and treats by stages,of which the curative effect is significant.A test case is attached,with a prospect of providing ideas for the clinical treatment of this disease.
