Clinical Study of Dingxuan Tongluo Formula(定眩通络方)Combined with Transmoxibustion in Treatment of Mixed Cervical Vertigo of Phlegm-Dampness Blocking Collaterals Type

Abstract：Objective:To observe the clinical effect of Dingxuan Tongluo Formula(定眩通络方)com-bined with transmoxibustion in the treatment of mixed cervical vertigo of phlegm-dampness blocking collaterals type.Methods:A total of 84 patients with mixed cervical vertigo of phlegm-dampness blocking collaterals type were selected and divided into the control group and the observation group according to random number table method,with 42 cases in each group.The control group was given conventional western medicine treatment and traction treatment,and the observation group was given Dingxuan Tongluo Formula combined with transmoxibustion treatment on the basis of the treatment of the control group.Traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)syndrome score,evaluation scale for cervical vertigo(ESCV)score,dizziness assessment rating scale(DARS)score before and after treatment were compared between the two groups.The domain frequency(MF)and the averaged electromyography(AEMG)of sternocleidomastoid muscle were detected before and after treatment.Serological parameters including phosphorylated-P38 mitogen-activated protein kinase(p-P38MAPK),tumor necrosis factor α(TNF-α),matrix metalloproteinase-14(MMP-14)and 5-hydroxytryptamine(5-HT)levels were compared between the two groups before and after treatment.The clinical efficacy of the two groups was compared.Results:After treatment,TCM syndrome scores and DARS scores in both groups were lower than those before treatment,and the scores of the observation group were lower than those of the control group,the difference was statistically significant(P＜0.05).ESCV scores in both groups were higher than those before treatment,and the scores of the observation group were higher than those of the control group(P＜0.05).The MF of sternocleidomastoid muscle in two groups was higher than that before treatment,and the value of the observation group was higher than that of the control group,the difference was statistically significant(P＜0.05).The AEMG of sternocleidomastoid muscle in two groups was lower than that before treatment,and the value of the observation group was lower than that of the control group,the difference was statistically significant(P＜0.05).The levels of p-P38MAPK,TNF-α,MMP-14 and 5-HT in both groups were decreased compared with those before treatment,and the levels of the observation group were lower than those of the control group,the difference was statistically significant(P＜0.05).The total effective rate of the observation group was 97.62％,and that of the control group was 80.95％.The clinical efficacy of the observation group was better than that of the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P＜0.05).Conclusions:Dingxuan Tongluo Formula combined with transmoxibustion can inhibit inflammation,reduce the level of pain factors,improve myoelectric indexes and relieve vertigo symptoms,and enhance clinical efficacy in the treatment of vertigo of mixed cervical spondylosis of phlegm-dampness blocking collaterals type.
