Theoretical Model of HUANG Yuanyu's Qi Transformation and Ascending and Descending Theory and Its Application in Treatment of Stranguria

Abstract：HUANG Yuanyu founded the theoretical doctrine of"qi circulation,the four dimensions of the earth pivot".Based on the theory of qi transformation and ascending and descending,and combined with the theory of five evolutive phases and six climatic factors,a physiological model of six qi uniting the twelve meridians is established,which categorizes the activities of the meridians and internal organs as changes of qi,and a unique theoretical system is formed by qi transformation model of"the four dimentions of the earth pivot"combined with the detailed elaboration of the mechanism of qi ascending and descending.Based on the qi transformation and ascending and descending theoretical model of HUANG Yuanyu,this study explains the characteristics of the theoretical model,and chooses stranguria as the main line to compare the differences between HUANG Yuanyu's diagnosis and treatment of stranguria and the traditional understanding and discusses the characte-ristics of paying attention to the middle jiao qi and restoring qi transformation and ascending and descending as the first priority in his medication and prescription.
