YU Renhuan's Clinical Experience in Treating Adult Polycystic Kidney

Abstract：Autosomal dominant polycystic kidney disease(ADPKD)is adult polycystic kidney,and it is a hereditary cystic kidney disease,and currently there is no specific treatment drug.Professor YU Renhuan believes that adult polycystic kidney is primarily caused by an inherent deficiency of congenital kidney qi and endowment,which leads to impaired qi transformation and water retention.Over time,this condition evolves into a combination of phlegm and blood stasis,blockage of kidney collaterals,and deficiency of the spleen and kidney,resulting in a complex pattern of deficiency and excess,which causes the disease to progress.In the early stages,treatment focuses on promoting yang,dispelling retention,and resolving phlegm and nodules.In the later stages,treatment should focus on strengthening the spleen and kidney,promoting blood circulation,and dissolving stasis.Early-stage treatment mainly applies Modified Jingui Shenqi Pill(金匮肾气丸),Wuling Powder(五苓散)combined with Sanzi Yangqin Decoction(三子养亲汤)and later-stage treatment mainly applies Modified Shenqi Dihuang Decoction(参芪地黄汤),Fangji Fuling Decoction(防己茯苓汤)combined with Guizhi Fuling Pill(桂枝茯苓丸),which can significantly relieve the symptoms of patients,slow the progression of renal function decline,and improve the quality of life of patients.A test case is attached.
