Abstract:Objective:To evaluate the clinical efficacy of self-blood acupoint injection in treating stable chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(COPD).Methods:A total of 120 COPD patients were selected and divided into control group and observation group using a random number table, with 60 patients in each group.During the observation period,3 and 2 patients respectively dropped out from the control and obser-vation groups, respectively. The control group(57 cases)was treated with budesonide, while the observation group(58 cases)was treated with self-blood acupoint injection in addition to the treatment provided to the control group. The clinical efficacy of the two groups was evaluated by assessing the incidence of adverse reactions and comparing the traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)syndrome scores, pulmonary function indexes, and serum inflammatory indexes[tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α)and interleukin-8(IL-8)levels]and the COPD Assessment Test(CAT)scores before and after 8 weeks of treatment. Results:The total effective rate of the observation group was 93.10%,significantly higher than that in the control group(73.68%)(P<0.05).After 8 weeks of treatment,TCM syndrome scores, serum TNF-α,IL-8 levels and CAT scores in both groups were significantly lower than before treatment(P<0.05),with the observation group showing significantly better results(P<0.001).The forced vital capacity(FVC)and forced expiratory volume in first second(FEV1)in both groups were significantly higher than before treatment(P<0.05),with the observation group showing significantly better results than the control group(P<0.05,P<0.001).There was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups:observation group(8.62%)and the control group(5.26%)(P>0.05).Conclusions:Self-blood acupoint injection therapy for patients with stable COPD.It can significantly reduce inflammation, improve symptoms, enhance lung function, and has a low incidence of adverse reactions.
