Abstract：Bronchial asthma is a common chronic lung disease in children,with its onset closely associated with an imbalance between T-helper 17(Th17)lymphocyte/regulatory T(Treg)cells.The concept of"left ascending and right descending"is a summary that liver and lung regulate qi's ascending and descending,and is related to the onset of pediatric asthma.This paper explores the role of Th17/Treg immune imbalance in asthma from the aspects of Th17/Treg imbalance to promote the occurrence and development of asthma,the role of"left ascending and right descending"theory in the disease cause and mechanism of asthma,and the compatibility of"left ascending and right descending"with Th17/Treg immune balance,so as to illuminate the scientific rationale behind traditional Chinese medicine approaches to preventing and treating pediatric asthma.
