Abstract:Adenomyosis(AM)is a common gynecological disorder, often detected in postmenopausal women, typically identified accidentally after surgery. The pathogenesis of AM remains unclear. In China, there is no established guideline or high-level consensus on the diagnosis and treatment of AM.To address this gap,a collection of expert opinions has been gathered to form this consensus. This consensus covers the pathogenesis of AM malignant lesions, diagnostic criteria, etiology, and disease cause, disease mechanism and syndrome differentiation of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM),as well as combined Chinese and Western medicine treatment protocols. The treatment strategies include staging therapy, surgery, systemic therapy, radiation therapy,TCM syndrome differentiation and treatment, and external therapies. All treatment protocols are based on expert consensus, derived from a comprehensive review of the literature,to ensure clinical applicability.
