Experience by TIAN Yuansheng in Treating Ankylosing Spondylitis with Quadruple Therapy

Abstract：Experience by Professor TIAN Yuansheng in the treatment of ankylosing spondylitis with qua-druple therapy was summarized.Professor TIAN Yuansheng holds that the disease mechanism of ankylosing spondylitis is kidney deficiency and blood stasis in governor vessel,and therefore tonifying kidney,removing stasis and regulating governor vessel is the major treatment method.He innovatively establishes the serial quadruple therapy protocol,in which four methods of moxibustion on concept and governor vessels in a circle,blood-letting in collaterals,catgut implantation at acupoint and oral medication are combined together,with the characteristics of multiple methods,treating internally and externally,treating the branch and root,so as to improve clinical efficacy.
