Abstract：In the clinical treatment of depression,Professor LIU Qingguo scrupulously follows the method of regulating the spirit and relieving the depreesion based on the root causes of the disease and scrupulously observeing the pathogenesis of qi disorder.Professor LIU believes that depression is located in the brain,clinically,the acupoints of Baihui(GV20),Shenting(GV 24),Sishencong(EX-HN l),and Benshen(GB 13),and acupoints in head to regulate the spirit are selected,and fire needle therapy is applied flexibly,which achieves the effect of regulating the spirit and relieving depression,regulating qi and emotions.And typical medical cases are reported to enrich the treatment methods of depression.
