Exploration of Developmental Characteristics and Background of Acupuncture and Moxibustion in Qilu Region During Ming and Qing Dynasties

Abstract:During the Ming and Qing Dynasties,there were many doctors in Qilu area with extensive writings.In these writings,there were acupuncture monographs such as Compilation and Interpretation of Meridians and Collaterals,Explanation of Meridians and Acupoints,Elucidation of Acupuncture and Moxibustion,etc.The scope of acupuncture and moxibustion treatment was broadened,involving various categories of disease in clinic.The inheritance and innovation of acupuncture and moxibustion were carried out simultaneously,and the popularization of knowledge was emphasized.During this period,factors such as the organization and protection of ancient documents,the promotion of medical education,the widespread application of printing technology,the popularization of medical books,and the influence of traditional thought and culture played a favorable supporting and promoting role in the development of Qilu acupuncture.There are 39 references.
