Research Progress in Non-Pharmacological Therapy for Bipolar Disorder

Abstract:Pharmacological therapy is the main program for the treatment of bipolar disorder,and non-pharmacological therapy is an essential auxiliary means,which can delay the decline of blood drug concentration,decrease the dose of medication,reduce adverse drug reactions,stabilize the mood of patients,and improve the cognitive function.Traditional Chinese medicine characteristic non-pharmacological therapy mainly includes acupuncture therapy,traditional exercise therapy,cupping therapy,massage,ear acupoint and five elements music therapy,etc.Western non-pharmacological therapy mainly includes non-invasive brain stimulation and psychotherapy.Non-invasive brain stimulation includes common modified electroshock,repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation,transcranial direct current stimulation and so on.Psychotherapies includes mindfulness therapy,cognitive psychotherapy,interpersonal social rhythm therapy,etc.There are 72 references.
