Clinical Study on Medium Frequency Electrotherapy Combined with Chinese Materia Medica Iontophoresis in Treatment of Pain Caused by Vertebrae Metastasis of Non-small Cell Lung Cancer

Abstract：Objective:To observe the clinical efficacy and safety of medium frequency electrotherapy combined with Chinese materia medica iontophoresis in the treatment of pain caused by non-small cell lung cancer(NSCLC)vertebral metastasis,and to explore its therapeutic mechanism.Methods:A total of 70 patients with pain caused by NSCLC vertebral metastasis were selected and divided into the control group and the observation group,with 35 patients in each group according to random number table method.The control group only received basic treatment,and the observation group received medium frequency electrotherapy combined with Chinese medicine Bushen Zhuanggu Zhitong Formula(补肾壮骨止痛方)on the basis of the treatment of the control group.Both the two groups took 6 days as 1 course of treatment,and were treated continuously for 2 courses.Numerical rating scale(NRS)score,Korean physical society(KPS)score,total dose of morphine,serum calcium(Ca),bone sialoprotein(BSP)and alkaline phosphatase(ALP)were monitored and evaluated before treatment,6 days and 12 days after treatment,respectively.At the same time,the occurrence of adverse events was recorded.Results:The NRS score and KPS score in the observation group were significantly improved 6 days and 12 days after treatment,and the improvement in the observation group was better than that in the control group(P＜0.05).The total dose of morphine in the observation group 6 days and 12 days after treatment was significantly lower than that before treatment,and the observation group was lower than the control group(P＜0.05).The level of Ca in the two groups 6 days and 12 days after treatment was lower than that before treatment,and the observation group was lower than the control group during the same period(P＜0.05).There was no significant difference in BSP and ALP levels between the two groups 6 days and 12 days after treatment(P＞0.05).The stability efficiency of the control group was 81.25％,and that of the observation group was 93.75％.The clinical efficacy of the observation group was better than that of the control group(P＜0.05).There was no significant difference in the occurrence of adverse reactions between the two groups(P＞0.05).Conclusions:The combination of medium frequency electrotherapy and Chinese materia medica can improve the clinical efficacy of patients with pain caused by NSCLC vertebral metastasis,improve their living conditions,reduce the use of morphine,correct abnormal bone metabolism-related laboratory indicators,and it has fewer adverse reactions and high safety.
