Clinical Study on the Efficacy of Qingxing Formula(轻型方)in Treatment of Mild Patients Infected with SARS-CoV-2 Omicron Variant

Abstract：Objective:To compare the therapeutic effect of Qingxing Formula(轻型方),Tanreqing Capsule(痰热清胶囊)and Lianhua Qingwen Capsule(连花清瘟胶囊)in the treatment of mild patients infected with SARS-CoV-2 Omicron variant.Me-thods:A total of 150 mild patients infected with SARS-CoV-2 Omicron variant were included and divided into Qingxing Formula group,Tanreqing group and Lianhua Qingwen group,with 50 cases in each group according to the propensity scoring method,the matching was 1:1:1.The clinical symptoms of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)were collected by the questionnaire star,and the TCM syndrome scores and clinical efficacy of the three groups of patients were compared and analyzed,and the conversion time and conversion rate of the three groups were compared.Results:After treatment,the syndrome scores of feeble,nasal congestion,nasal discharge,sore throat and cough in three groups were lower than those before treatment,and the difference was statistically significant(P＜0.01 or P＜0.05).After treatment,the asthma score of Qingxing Formula group and Tanreqing group were lower than that before treatment,and the difference was statistically significant(P＜0.01),while the asthma score of Lianhua Qingwen group was not statistically significant compared with that before treatment(P＞0.05).After treatment,the syndrome scores of sore throat in the Qingxing Formula group was lower than that in the Tanreqing group,and the difference was statistically significant(P＜0.05).The total scores of traditional Chinese medicine syndromes in three groups after treatment were lower than those before treatment,and the difference was statistically significant(P＜0.01).After treatment,there was no statistically significant difference in the total scores of traditional Chinese medicine syndromes among the three groups(P＞0.05).The negative conversion days in Qingxing Formula group were the shortest,which was followed by Tanreqing group,and those of the Lianhua Qingwen group were the longest.There was statistical significance in the negative conversion days between the Qingxing Formula group and the Lianhua Qingwen group(P＜0.05).The negative conversion rate of Qingxing Formula group at 14 days was 94％,which was higher than that of Tanreqing group(88％)and Lianhua Qingwen group(56％),and the difference was statistically significant(P＜0.001).The effective rates of the three groups were 90％,86％and 80％respectively,there was no statistically significant difference between the three groups(P＞0.05).Conclusions:Compared with Tanreqing Capsule and Lianhua Qingwen Capsule,Qingxing Formula can improve the negative conversion rate and reduce the number of negative conversion days of mild patients infected with SARS-CoV-2 Omicron variant,and it can prevent the further development and aggravation of the disease,and thereby reduce the risk of death.
