Abstract:Objective:To observe the effect of Tongfu Xiere Fuyuan Decoction(通腑泄热复元汤)on the intestinal function, inflammatory response level, and clinical efficacy in treating sepsis gastrointestinal dysfunc-tion.Methods:Total 75 patients with sepsis gastrointestinal dysfunction were selected and divided into the observation group of 38 cases and the control group of 37 cases according to the random number table method. The control group was treated with conventional western medicine, while the observation group was treated with Tongfu Xiere Fuyuan Decoction on the basis of the treatment of the control group. After 7 days of treatment, the scores of intestinal dysfunction symptoms, intestinal mucosal barrier function indexes, and inflammatory response levels of the two groups were compared before and after treatment, and the clinical efficacy of the two groups was evaluated. Results:After treatment, the scores of intestinal dysfunction symptoms of both groups decreased compared to those before treatment(P<0.05).The intestinal mucosal barrier function indexes D-lactate and diamine oxidase were lower than before treatment, while inflammatory response indicators, such as C-reactive protein,interleukin-6 and tumor necrosis factor-α,were also decreased compared to before treatment(P<0.05).The scores and levels of indexes in the observation group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).The total clinical effective rate of the observation group was 94.74%,while that of the control group was 78.38%.The difference in clinical efficacy between the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusions:Tongfu Xiere Fuyuan Decoction has a significant clinical efficacy in treating sepsis gastrointestinal dysfunction, which can effectively improve the intestinal function and intestinal mucosal barrier function of patients, and reduce inflammatory response.
