Abstract:Using gut microbes as an entry point and based on the theory of gut-brain axis(GBA),the relationship between the congenital foundation, the foundation of acquired constitution spleen and kidney, and hypertension is discussed from four aspects:kidney-gut microbes,kidney-brain,spleen and stomach-gut microbes, spleen and stomach-brain.It is suggested that GBA and spleen and kidney are high generalization of the important mechanism of hypertension regulation under different medical systems.Deficiency of spleen and kidney may lead to dysregulation of GBA,which affects the pathogenesis of hypertension. The mechanism may be related to the hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal axis, metabolites of intestinal flora, and brain-intestinal peptides, etc. Therefore,it is suggested that invigorating the spleen and stomach and invigorating kidney are important methods to treat hypertension, which embodies the idea of seeking the root causes of traditional Chinese medicine treatment.
