Experience of LU Mingyuan in Using Xuefu Zhuyu Decoction

Abstract：Based on the classical theory, Professor LU Mingyuan holds that the Xuefu Zhuyu Decoction invented by WANG Qingren is good at rectifying the imbalance between yin and yang, tonifying liver body and regulating the liver function to harmonize qi and blood, and is the representative formula of regulating yin and yang with more functions rather than activating blood and resolving blood stasis. Therefore, this formula is widely applied in clinic. Although the indications are various, the underlying mechanism is disorder of liver body and functions, and unsmooth channels. Besides, according to clinical practice and based on the principle of treating different diseases with the same therapy, the key points of syndrome differentiation for Xuefu Zhuyu Decoction was summarized so as to guide clinical applications of this formula.
