Research on Traditional Chinese Medicine Syndrome Type Distribution in Decreasing Ovarian Store

Abstract:Objective: Through literature review and clinical survey to analyze the common traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) syndrome types in patients with decreasing ovarian store (DOS). After experts gave the evaluation, the TCM syndrome type distribution was determined, which could provide a basis for syndrome differentiation and treatment standardization of DOS. Methods: TCM syndrome type distribution and the common symptoms of DOS in the literature of the last 10 years were analyzed. According to literatures and clinical practice, a clinical DOS TCM symptoms questionnaire was designed. Total 130 DOS patients were investigated. The principal component analysis and cluster analysis from SPSS 16.0 were performed to analyze and determine the syndrome type distribution. Fifteen experts did peer review and chose the best results. Result: In the 130 DOS patients, the syndrome type distribution was as follows: liver depression and blood stasis accounting for 30.77%, deficiency of spleen and kidneys 23.08%, kidney deficiency and blood stasis 37.69%, yin deficiency of liver and kidneys 8.46%. Conclusion: In patients with DOS, kidney deficiency and blood stasis is the predominant syndrome type, followed by liver depression and blood stasis.
